Euphyllia glabrescens. Intermediate to keep, Typical PAR 75–150, moderate flow.
Also sold as HG Torch.
Rarity tier: grail, reviewed 2026-08.
The gold torch at the top of the Euphyllia market, and the name is a collector's rather than a taxonomist's. Under the strict reading it is yellow to gold tentacles ending in pale blue tips with neon green confined to the mouth, and that clean separation is the point of it. Established sellers also use the name more widely, for gold tentacles carrying green along their length with blue to purple tips.
No authority stands behind this name, so read any definition of it, the strict one above included, as a house style rather than a specification. What survives that is the part which actually protects a four-figure purchase: the animal should arrive WYSIWYG, with the seller's own timestamped photographs under stated lighting, and a lineage they will name out loud. A generic 'grail torch' with neither is the listing to walk away from, and that holds whichever definition the seller has in mind.
Space to sweep, because the tentacles reach further than they look. Holy Grail Torch is intermediate to keep at a typical PAR of 75–150 in moderate flow. A typical starting range for this type of coral rather than a measured requirement for this morph. Spectrum, how it was acclimated and the system it grew in all move it.
