A TABLING Acropora with a metallic green to olive base carrying red to pink corallites and deep red polyps, new growth coming in near-white. One of the few genuine reds in the genus, and a widely propagated aquacultured line.
Common enough to be a reasonable first Acropora. Read the base and the corallites, not the overall impression: the green is in the body and the red is in the corallites and polyps, and this entry had it the other way round until it was checked against the growers. Intense light bleaches the green out and it returns lower down, so a green-less colony may be placement rather than a different coral.
