ENCRUSTING Montipora, not a plating one: a deep blue to royal purple base carrying red to orange polyps. The colour contrast is the whole point, and a lavender-based version circulates as Purple Superman.
Purple fades under low light and the coral becomes an ordinary brown crust. Placement matters more here than with most Montipora. Reverse Superman is a separate named line, so check which one a listing means.
