Written to be read rather than to be survived. Reef Frags is operated by Reef Frags LLC in Winter Garden, FL, a Florida limited liability company. In force since 31 August 2026.
What is collected. An email address, if you give us one: for the mailing list, or to sign in to the optional backup described below. That is the only personal information this site asks for. There are no passwords and no profile, and signing in means clicking a link sent to your own address. We do not collect payment card details at any point; see Terms below.
Who processes it. Email addresses are stored with Resend, which we use to hold the list and to send you the mail you asked for. Accounts, the backed-up records of anyone who chooses to sign in, and a copy of each waitlist address kept only so the list can be counted, are stored with Supabase. The site is hosted by Vercel, whose analytics count page views without cookies and without identifying you. When the shop opens, payments are processed by Stripe.
Counting what gets used. Beyond page views, the site counts a few things that happen here, so we can tell which parts are worth building on: that a Bluebook search ran and how many results it returned, that a link out to a surveyed shop was followed and which shop it was, that a dose was worked out and whether it was spread over several days, that a journal entry or a coral was saved and roughly how long that log has been going, that a signup or a sale report went through. Nothing counted carries an identifier of any kind. There is no cookie, no visitor id, no account id, and the IP address every web request necessarily shows is used to stop floods and is never stored, so two of these counts cannot be tied to each other, let alone to you. Nothing you typed is ever part of one: not your search words, not your readings, not your tank, not your notes. These counts are held with Supabase alongside the rest.
Turning it off. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, this site counts nothing at all: no page view and none of the events above. That is checked before anything is loaded or sent, so it is not collected and discarded, it is not collected. Both settings live in your browser rather than here, which is the point of them, and neither costs you anything on this site: nothing here is gated on being counted.
Delivery webhooks. Signup confirmations and order notices can also be delivered through a webhook, a forwarding address we configure, instead of the services above. A webhook like that is a processor too: if one is ever in use for anything that carries your address, this page names it, and it gets added here before it handles anyone's data rather than after.
What we do with it. We email you about Reef Frags: a coral drop, a tool opening, an order you placed. Nothing else. Your address is never sold, rented, or handed to anyone outside the processors this page names.
Getting out. Every email from the mailing list carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing stops the list mail without you having to ask anyone. Notices about an order you actually placed are not part of the list and do not carry one, because a receipt is not something to opt out of. To have your address deleted outright rather than just unsubscribed, ask at support@reeffrags.com and it will be removed. You can ask what is held about you at the same address.
Your tank data stays yours. The calculators keep your tank profile in your own browser's local storage, and it is never sent anywhere. The Tank Journal and My Corals work the same way by default. Signing in is the only thing that changes that: it stores a copy of your log and your collection so another device can read them back, held with Supabase and readable by your account and no other. The counts described above are not an exception to this and never contain any of it. When a coral is saved, what leaves your browser is that one was saved, how many are now in that collection, and which of four brackets its age falls in, worked out on your machine from dates that stay on it. Signing out leaves the copy in your browser exactly where it is. Clearing your browser data deletes that copy, and asking at support@reeffrags.com deletes the account and everything stored in it.
Using the site. Read it, use the tools, buy the things. Do not scrape it wholesale, resell its content, or try to break it. The words and the code here belong to Reef Frags. The coral illustrations were made with AI image tools rather than drawn or photographed by us, which is worth knowing if you were thinking of reusing one. Anything credited to someone else belongs to whoever made it. Coral trade names belong to the hobby.
Payments. Checkout is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Card details are never sent to, seen by, or stored on this site.
Prices and availability. Items are printed to order. Prices can change and stock can run out; the price and availability that count are the ones shown at checkout. An order is accepted when we take payment, not when the page loads.
No warranty beyond the goods. Physical products are covered by the returns policy below. The site itself, and everything on it, is provided as-is, and we do not warrant that the tools are error-free or that the information is complete.
Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, Reef Frags is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or its information, including livestock loss. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
Changes. When these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Material changes affecting orders already placed do not apply retroactively.
Made to order. Printed accessories are produced after you order, not pulled from a shelf. Each product page states its lead time in working days; that is time before it ships, not including transit.
Where we ship. United States only for now. Orders ship from Winter Garden, FL.
What it costs. A flat $7.00 under $75.00, free at or above it. Shipping is shown at checkout before you pay.
Livestock is separate. Corals are not being sold yet, and when they are, Reef Frags will be the venue rather than the seller: the grower listing a coral is the party you buy it from, and their live-arrival terms travel with the listing. The minimum those terms must meet, and how payment is held until arrival is confirmed, will be published here before the Frag Market opens rather than after.
Defects and shipping damage, within 14 days. If an item arrives damaged, broken, or not what you ordered, tell us within 14 days of delivery at support@reeffrags.com, with a photograph. We replace it or refund it, your choice, and we pay the return postage when one is needed.
Change of mind. Because every item is printed for your order specifically, we do not take general change-of-mind returns. That is the honest trade for made-to-order: nothing sits in a warehouse, so nothing can go back to one. If you are unsure about fitment, ask before ordering and we will measure it for you.
Cancelling. An order can be cancelled for a full refund any time before printing starts. Once the printer is running, the returns terms above apply instead.
Refund timing. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually landing within five to ten business days depending on your bank.
These are arithmetic, not advice. The dosing calculators compute quantities from molar masses and the numbers you enter. They do not know your tank, your livestock, your test kit's accuracy, or what else you dosed today.
The output is only as good as the input. A wrong volume or a stale test kit produces a confidently wrong dose. Verify your water volume, and test with a kit you trust before and after dosing.
Go slowly. The safe daily change limits built into the tools exist because rapid swings in alkalinity, calcium and magnesium kill coral tissue. Treat them as ceilings, not targets.
You are responsible for what goes in your tank. Reef Frags accepts no liability for livestock loss, equipment damage, or water chemistry problems arising from use of these tools. If a number looks wrong, it probably is, so check it before you dose.
A record of reported sales, not a valuation. The Coral Bluebook publishes what specific corals are listed and reported at. It is not an appraisal, not a price guarantee, and not an offer to buy or sell anything.
Reported, then reviewed, but not audited. Every published figure comes from a dated record with a stated source, asking and sold are never mixed, and nothing publishes below the minimum sample. We review sources; we cannot independently verify every transaction.
Trade names are not scientific ones. The same name is used by different sellers for different animals. Identification notes describe what a name usually refers to; they cannot tell you what a particular seller is offering.
Identification notes are checked, and checking is not authority. Every entry names the outside sources it was read against and the date it was read, and each morph's page lists them, so the working can be inspected rather than taken on trust. That review found and corrected real errors, including several entries that had a coral's colours the wrong way round. What it establishes is only that other people publish the same thing: sources in this hobby agree with each other far more readily than they verify each other, so a note here can be wrong in exactly the way its sources are. Read them, and say so when we have it wrong.
Colour is the least reliable thing about a coral. The same animal changes colour with lighting spectrum, intensity, maturity and the tank it came from, and separate lineages of one named morph differ from each other. So the identification notes lean on the things that hold still, like growth form, tentacle tip shape, and which part of the animal carries which colour relative to the rest. Where a note names a colour, read it as typical rather than definitive. A coral that does not match is more often a coral under different light than a coral sold under the wrong name.
Do not use it as leverage you cannot support. A seller pricing above a published range is not doing anything wrong. Coral prices vary by size, colouration, provenance and timing, and the Bluebook cannot see any of that.
