Unusually large polyps, dime to nickel across where an ordinary zoa is two or three times smaller, and the constant is a BRIGHT NEON GREEN MOUTH. People Eater names a group rather than one polyp: the Purple wears a purple face over green skirts, the Red a red and purple face, and the green mouth runs through all of them.
Polyp size relative to its neighbours is the honest signal; colour alone matches half a dozen other named oranges. Then check the mouth, because a People Eater without a neon green one is not in the group whatever the label says. A closed polyp shows watermelon-like white striations down its outside, which is another check that survives bad lighting.
