A branching Montipora digitata with a blue body, orange to orange-red polyps, and fluorescent green growing tips that shade to yellow. It encrusts first and then sends up long, brittle fingers.
The Forest Fire colours on a blue body: a Forest Fire is green to teal underneath with the same orange-red polyps, and shops say plainly that the two are confused. Some keepers argue the difference is lighting, so read the body under white light. A few shops use the name for a pink digitata, which is a different look. One farm credits the long-gone Wet Thumbs with making it popular; nobody else traces it, so the name works as a description rather than a line.
