Eight feathery tentacles per polyp, each polyp on its own stalk rising from a network of creeping stolons rather than from one shared mat, which is what separates it from Green Star Polyps at a glance.
Which variety you are buying matters more here than the price does. The ordinary green and gold Clavularia is a slow grower, slow enough that vendors apologise for it, so a frag stays a frag for a long while. The blue clove polyp is a different proposition: it runs across rock, irritates whatever it reaches, and the standard advice for an established infestation is a whole-tank medication or cooking the rock, because scraping it back only regrows it. Take the blue one on purpose or not at all.
