Names that contain “Jawbreaker” and are not this coral: Candy Crush, Kryptonite, Eclectus, Electus, Deadpool. They are separate corals traded at their own prices, so read the animal rather than the label.
Bright orange ground with red streaking and speckling through it, plus green and sometimes purple as a polyp matures, marbled with no repeating pattern. The orange ground under the red is the identification. The tissue is thick and often lumpier than a plain Discosoma, but some ordinary ones are as bumpy, so texture alone proves nothing.

Easily confused with
- Deadpool: A true red ground with purple to near-black splatter.
- Eclectus: A yellow to gold ground with red splatter, less orange, and rarely any colour beyond red.
- Kryptonite Jawbreaker: Neon green ground with dark, near-black splatter. The green is the ground, not speckles on orange.
